Mushroom Pepperoni Pizza

Inspired by toppings voted by our Ingredients by Saputo community, we created this Mushroom & Pepperoni pizza and didn't go easy on our Saputo Mozzarellissima cheese!

Ingredients

  • Ball of pizza dough
  • ½ cup tomato pizza sauce
  • 1 package pepperoni
  • A few mushrooms, washed and sliced
  • A few cherry tomatoes, washed and halved
  • Saputo Mozzarellissima Cheese
  • Basil, to garnish

  • *Note: for this recipe, all the quantities are to taste. Adjust according to your own inspiration and taste!

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 500°F (260°C). Place rack in the centre of the oven.
  2. On a floured counter, knead the pizza dough with your fingers and a rolling pin. Stretch it into the shape of a heart.
  3. Spread tomato pizza sauce over the entire surface (tip: the back of a spoon is the perfect tool for this!).
  4. Garnish with pepperoni, sliced mushrooms, and halved cherry tomatoes.
  5. Grate a generous amount of Saputo Mozzarellissima, and sprinkle over the entire surface of the pizza (the cheesier, the better!).
  6. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes, or until crust is crispy.
  7. Drizzle with spicy oil or garnish with basil leaves to taste.
